The PC version of the hotly anticipated title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is going to be the best console version ever, according to one developer.
The PC version is the only version of The Legend Of Zelda that has a dedicated engine, and the best of its kind, according Codemasters, who recently unveiled a new trailer that shows off a fully fledged game engine that’s “faster and more powerful than ever before”.
“When you look at the engine, it’s the only game engine in existence that’s capable of delivering a full Zelda experience on consoles,” says Tom Phillips, lead programmer at Codemaster.
“There’s a lot of things you can do with it.”
The engine also has a ton of customisation options for a game that’s not only an adventure, but a first-person shooter as well.
For example, you can change the size of the world in a lot more ways than just having it look big.
It can also allow you to turn the camera off, or turn on the moon.
“We also have customisable particles for every part of the game,” Phillips explains.
“The game is so diverse that it makes a lot out of it.”
There’s no doubt the PC version will be the biggest release of the year, and one that will dominate all console sales.
The game is due out on the 13th of May, with a launch on the 21st of May.
However, it will be a long time before anyone can play it.
“It will take years for it to become widely available and then there are going to always be some people that just want to play the game on PC,” Phillips says.
“But there’s a bunch of people out there that are just waiting for the chance to get it.”
