Game journalists in the Netherlands and Australia have a new video game to share, and they’re calling it the most important thing they’ve ever seen.
A game developer called Gameforge has created a game for the Xbox One called “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”.
It’s the second game from Gameforge in as many weeks and the company is releasing it to the public for free.
The game, which will come out in Europe on April 24, will also be free for anyone to play online, a la the PC version of “Wolfenstein: The New Order”.
“We created the first game in our studios as a proof of concept and we’re still working on it,” Gameforge’s founder Joris van Bommel told Reuters.
“But it’s definitely a first.”
It’s not the first time the Gameforge brand has appeared in the hands of a major publisher.
The Dutch company released its own version of the award-winning “Dance Dance Revolution” video game series for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October last year.
It was based on the game’s original PlayStation game engine and featured a different soundtrack.
