In the span of two weeks, the NFL is going to be in a tailspin.
The Titans, Chiefs, Bengals and Packers are all in need of some help.
So what are the teams that need help the most?
Here are the best NFL news stories of the week.
— Week 5: Titans — Tennessee has the league’s best defense, but the Titans need some help on offense.
It needs a big offensive playmaker, and the team needs a running back.
If you’re wondering who that would be, look no further than DeMarco Murray, who led the league in rushing last season and rushed for 4,837 yards.
Murray is one of the league leaders in rushing yards, with 5,722.
But he’s also one of just three players to lead the league with at least 10 touchdowns in a season, the other two being Joe Flacco and Matt Forte.
The team has to find an offense that can run the ball.
— Week 4: Chiefs — The Chiefs offense hasn’t been great this season.
They have three starters out with injury, and their defense has struggled to defend the run.
It will be important to see how the Chiefs offense can compete with the Steelers and Patriots offenses, who are also loaded at running back and tight end.
–Week 3: Bengals — The Bengals defense will be a key to this season’s success.
They are in a great position to win with their quarterback, Andy Dalton, who has shown that he can be a top-five quarterback in the NFL.
Dalton also has a great supporting cast.
The Bengals have some young talent, like cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick, who is a big-play threat and an explosive playmaker.
The defense has to improve.
–week 2: Steelers — The Steelers are coming off a dominant season that was the highest-scoring team in NFL history.
It was a great way to celebrate their first playoff victory since 2011.
Pittsburgh has the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The Steelers need to add a playmaker on offense and defense, and that will come in the draft.
— week 1: Steelers | Week 10: Lions | Detroit is looking to win its third straight division title and make a run at the Super Bowl.
The Lions are led by quarterback Matthew Stafford, who set new career highs with 4,904 passing yards and 25 touchdown passes last season.
Stafford has been one of three quarterbacks to pass for over 1,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in the same season, joining Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers.
Stafford needs to take his game to another level.
— Sunday: Lions — It will probably take a few weeks for the Lions offense to catch up to the Seahawks, who have the NFL’s best offense.
But the Lions are a strong run-first team that should be able to run the football on the road against Seattle.
— Thursday: Seahawks | Seattle is expected to be one of last two teams to make the playoffs after finishing 10-6 last season, but it’s going to need to improve if it wants to keep up with the Seahawks.
The Seahawks offense is one to watch.
— Wednesday: Falcons | The Falcons are still trying to make up ground on the Titans and Packers after finishing last season with a 6-12 record.
The Falcons defense was one of a handful to have the best unit in the league, but its biggest strength is its pass rush.
Atlanta also had some struggles on offense, especially on the ground, but coach Dan Quinn said the team can bounce back with better playmakers.
— Monday: Packers | It will take time for the Packers offense to match its success last season — especially with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who missed all of last season because of injury.
But there are some promising things on offense in the locker room.
If Rodgers can stay healthy, the Packers can be one to build off their record.
— Friday: Jaguars | The Jaguars have the league-best defense, which is a key factor in their success this season, and they’re led by offensive lineman Jake Matthews.
But a team that’s winning games should have a better offensive line.
–Sunday: Steelers Pittsburgh is one game away from its first playoff appearance since 2009.
The next team to do so will be the Raiders, who beat the Steelers last season in overtime.
— Tuesday: Titans | Tennessee has to win at least one of its next three games to have any hope of competing for the AFC South.
The Tennessee defense is also improving, and if they can keep Ryan Tannehill upright, they could be a good bet to make a playoff run.
–Monday: Steelers The Steelers have a lot of offensive talent, but a defense that needs to improve and be better on both sides of the ball could give them trouble.
–Thursday: Lions Detroit was one team that was good against Pittsburgh last season after finishing with the worst record in the division.
It could be time for a new defense in Detroit
