The Warriors are back in the top spot with a 93-89 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night.
Golden State, the Warriors’ most recent Finals champion, has gone on to win the next two Finals by an average of 29.5 points.
The Warriors are off to a 9-0 start in the NBA postseason.
They’ve won nine straight games, including three straight by an aggregate of 19.8 points.
The Warriors have been on a 12-game winning streak against the Grizzlies, who’ve won six of their last seven.
This is the first time in the Warriors history that the team has won five consecutive games against Memphis.
It’s also the second time the team hasn’t lost in Memphis since the 2008-09 season.
The Grizzlies were eliminated from the postseason in the first round.
The NBA’s Most Valuable Player was at his best in the fourth quarter and the last few minutes.
He scored 26 points in the final two minutes and had 12 assists.
Curry added 13 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
